About The Program

University College Groningen has announced USP Scholarship 2018 for students enrolling in the BA/BSc Liberal Arts and Sciences for the academic year of 2018-2019. UCG aims to reward students with great ambition who also have a great passion for social engagement and determination to make a positive impact during their studies at UCG.

  • Students enrolling in the BA/BSc Liberal Arts and Sciences for the academic year of 2018-2019 are eligible to apply.

Procedure to apply for the scholarship:
Step 1: Student has to register by clicking here.
Step 2: Fill in all the details.
Step 3: Attach necessary documents if required
Step 4: Finally submit the application form.

Terms and Conditions

Document/s to be submitted with the application form: 

  • Letter of motivation explaining why candidates believe they should be considered for the scholarship. This should:
    • Be of maximum 500 words in a Word document.
    • Explain why candidate believe they deserve a scholarship and why they need financial assistance for their studies.
    • Explain their experiences with social engagement and extracurricular events and how candidate wants to contribute to society in the future, what issues are important to them and why it is important for a candidate to be aware of the USP scholarship. Candidates have to explain their ambitions and how they would like to achieve these ambitions and goals during their studies at UCG.
  • Email it to newstudents.ucg@rug.nl before 1 February 2018 - with email title: 'Letter of Motivation - USP Scholarship'.
