The Cargill Global Scholars Program is a distinctive, two-year leadership development program that provides financial support, and additional leadership development training and one-on-one mentoring. The objective of the program is to build a global network of future leaders who go on to make important contributions to advance business, agriculture and food security in the future.

DeadlineClosed Eligibility The following students are eligible for the scholarship:
- A first/second-year student in one of the following colleges:
- Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi
- Delhi Technological University (DTU)
- Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Mumbai
- The National Institute of Technology (NIT) Tiruchirappalli
- Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Gandhinagar
- A student with good academic performance
- Students who demonstrate leadership quality
Note: Special preference will be given to female candidates.
Benefits The selected scholars will receive the following benefits:
- An annual scholarship award of USD 2500 for up to 2 years, to help off-set any academic-related expenses.
- An opportunity to participate in a fully-funded 3-day leadership seminar during the first year of the program designed to enhance the scholars’ leadership skills.
- An opportunity to participate in a fully funded Global Leadership Seminar to be held at one of Cargill’s global locations during the second year of the program.
- An opportunity to be paired with a Cargill leader who will serve as a mentor, the mentors will help the scholars identify short and long-term academic and professional goals and assist in reaching these goals.
- The selected scholar will become a member of the Cargill Global Scholars alumni community.
Documents The following documents will be required at the time of application:
- High school mark sheet (official copy)
- University/Institute transcript (official copy, for both first and second semester)
- Two letters of reference (online form provided)
- Curriculum Vitae/Resume

- Submission deadline: 5th March 2019
- Interviews for semi-finalists: May 2019
- Announcement of winner: June 2019
Terms and Conditions
- The selected candidates must be available to participate in the 3-day 2019 India In-Country Leadership Seminar, which will be held mid-September 2019.
- The application must be completed in full and submitted by the deadline of March 5, 2019, 23:59 PM Indian Standard Time.
