About The Program

The Buchmann Faculty of Law, Tel Aviv University invites applications from excellent PhD scholars for Postdoctoral Fellowship 2018-19. The PBC (Israeli Planning and Budgeting Committee) will award outstanding researchers at the postdoctoral level from India and China under this fellowship program.

To be eligible for the fellowship, an applicant must -

  • Be a citizen of China or India. 
  • Be holding a PhD degree. 
  • Be fluent in the English language.

Award details

  • The outstanding postdoctoral fellows will be awarded NIS 115,000 per academic year under this fellowship program for 1 or 2 years. (Note: There is also a provision of extending the fellowship for the third year).
  • Tel Aviv University will further provide NIS 5000 per annum to every selected scholar covering the expenses of international travel. 

Documents required

  • Duly filled and signed application form. 
  • Copy of academic qualification certificates in English such as Bachelors, Masters or PhD. (If relevant). 
  • Confirmation of authorization of candidate from the relevant authority stating his/her capability of fulfilling all academic obligations and receiving his/her doctoral degree in no later than the first year of study in Israel. (For students who have not completed their PhD). 
  • CV comprising the list of publications (if relevant). 
  • Doctoral dissertation summary in one page.
  • Summary of the research plan in 2 pages. 
  • Three letter of recommendations. 
  • Consent letter from the supervisor of Israeli University.
