SBI Youth for India Fellowship 2017 invites application for the graduates between aged 21 to 32 years to join a 13-month programme that enables India's brightest young minds to work on rural development projects with experienced NGOs. This fellowship provides a framework to the applicants to join hands with rural communities, empathise with their struggles and connect with their aspirations and to touch lives and create positive change at the grass root level in rural India and fellows will get Rs 15000 pm, travel fare, accommodation, medical insurance, Rs 30000 on completion of the fellowship.
Important:
- Shortlisted applicants are notified on an ongoing basis during the application period and continuously engage with shortlisted applicants over an online forum to get to know them better as well as clarify their doubts regarding the fellowship.
- Interviews shall be conducted in major metro cities or virtually for applicants based outside India.
- The applicant will have access to further material about the programmes of partner NGOs. The applicant will research, read and familiarise their self with these to be able to decide on their preferred programme area and partner NGO.

- Full-time requires applicants to stay in rural areas near the project site.

Fellowship assistance:
- Stipend: Rs 15000 to meet living expenses
- Local transport allowance: Rs 1000 per month
- A Re-adjustment Allowance of Rs 30000 upon successful completion
- To and fro travel costs of the Fellows from his/her place of residence to project location as well as for training programmes

After completion of the Programme:
- Applicants can continue in the rural development sector with NGOs or explore social entrepreneurship opportunities.
- Applicants can pursue further studies or other fellowships.
- Applicants can return to the mainstream and apply their learning to develop products and services more suited to Rural India.
