Ravi Sankaran Fellowship Program 2017 is an initiative of the Inlaks Shivdasani Foundation which provides funds for three major activities. First one is Masters Degree at an International University: In this program, the fund will be given to one or two recipients for a 1-2 year in a reputed academic program in ecology or conservation and to facilitate interaction with the larger international community involved in conservation science and practice. The second one is Internship with an International Conservation Organisation: In this program, the fund will be given to one or two recipients for an internship of 6 weeks to 1 year with a university research group, NGO, government agency, etc. The third one is Small Grants program for a conservation research or implementation project within India: In this program, the fund will be given to 5 recipients for 1 year to lead and implementation of the project.
The application can be done by post or by email with the following steps:

Step 2: If you wish to apply for Masters Abroad, you have to Courier the application form to Inlaks Shivdasani Foundation, C/o Inlaks India Foundation, 86/87 Atlanta, Nariman Point, Mumbai 400021
Step 3: If you wish to apply for Internship Abroad, you have to Courier the application form to Inlaks Shivdasani Foundation, C/o Inlaks India Foundation, 86/87 Atlanta, Nariman Point, Mumbai 400021
Step 4: If you wish to apply for Small Grant, you have to email your application form on or before 15 April to the following addresses: gladys@inlaksfoundation.org, ichchaporia@inlaksfoundation.org
Q. I am already pursuing a Master’s or PhD degree in India. Can I still apply for an international internship?
A. Yes, so long as you provide a letter from the head of your institution in India allowing you to take up your proposed internship.
Q. Are host institutions for a Master’s degree abroad restricted to those in certain countries?
A. No, there is no restriction, but your host institution must have a track record of excellence in the discipline of your proposed Master’s degree.
Q. What is the age restriction for applicants?
A. The age restriction for the Ravi Shankaran Fellowship Program is the same as that for the regular Inlaks Scholarships, which is that you must ordinarily be below 30 years of age on the first of July in the year of application.
Q. Are applications accepted by email or in other electronic form?
A. No, applications must be completed, printed and sent in hard copy to the Inlaks Foundation office in Mumbai.
