About The Program

The Rashtriya Indian Military College under Ministry of Defence invites applications for RIMC Entrance Examination 2017, only for boys only who wishes to join Defence services. Interested candidates can apply by post and the selection of the finalist will be done through Written examination, Viva voce, Medical examinations, The interviews and the medical exam will be held only for the those who pass their written exams. The application can be done by post before 31st March, 2017.

  • Class 7 appearing, class 7 passed.
  • Age should be between 11 years 6 months to 13 years as on 1st Jan 2018.
How can you apply?

The application can be done by post with the following steps:

Step 1: Download the page to read all the details.

Step 2: You can get the prospectus-cum-application form and booklet of old question papers from the Rashtriya Indian Military College, Garhi Cantt, Dehradun, Uttarakhand, Pin- 248003 through speed post by forwarding self-addressed slip and an account payee bank demand draft of Rs. 550/- for General Candidates Rs. 505/- for SC/ST candidates along with cast certificate. The demand draft will be made in favour of "THE COMMANDANT RIMC DEHRADUN", DRAWEE BRANCH, STATE
BANK OF INDIA, TEL BHAVAN, DEHRADUN, (BANK CODE-01576), UTTARAKHAND. The address should be TYPED / WRITTEN clearly in CAPITAL LETTERS with pin code and contact number. RIMC will NOT be responsible for any postal delay or loss in transit of prospectus caused by illegible or incomplete address.

Step 3: Applications in duplicate on prescribed form accompanied by documents to be attached with application form two
passport size photographs, Domicile Certificate of the candidate, Birth Certificate (issued by Municipal CorporationlGram
Panchayat, SC, ST Certificate from the principal of the School in original with the photograph on it attested stating date
of birth and in which class studying. Application forms should reach the respective State Governments (as specified in the press note) of which their parents/guardians are domicile of, by 31 Mar 2017.

Note:

  • The application forms issued by RIMC only shall be valid. Locally printed I Photocopied and without RIMC hologram (Seal) forms shall not be accepted.
  • No refund of the application fee of any condition.

Terms and Conditions

Fees at RIMC is subsidized by the Central Govt and is presently INR 42400 per year which may increase from time to time. At the time of entry, a Security Deposit of INR 20000 is to be made, which will refund after the courses over. Scholarships are granted by various state Govts to meritorious students. The number of scholarships varies from state to state and is in between INR Rs 10000 to Rs 20000 per annum. Continuation of Scholarship once granted by the state is subject to merit, income and discipline of the cadet and his performance during the year.
