About The Program

Prime Minister Special Scholarship Scheme (PMSSS), J&K 2018-19 is a scholarship for students having domicile of J&K state. The scholarship has been introduced to build capacities of the youth of Jammu & Kashmir. 

EligibilityDeadline Date : Closed
  • Students must have the domiciles of Jammu & Kashmir.
  • The students who have passed Class 12 from J&K Board or CBSE affiliated schools located in J&K.
  • Students having completed 10+3 Diploma from J&K State Polytechnics will be eligible for the direct entry in the second year on the vacant seats of professional category of 2017-18 batch.
  • The students who are willing to study outside the state of J&K.
  • The students having the family income of INR 8 Lac per annum or below.
Benefits
  • The award will cover academics fees and maintenance charges.
  • Academic fee: It will be paid to the institution directly which includes tuition fee, development fee, library fee, internet fee, training fee, university fee, exam fee, etc.
  • Maintenance fee: It will be paid to the students in two equal installments of INR 50,000 which includes hostel fee, mess charges, buying books and stationery charges.

Procedure to apply for the scholarship:

Step 4: Attach all the required documents.

Admission Procedure:

  • Every Student will be required to give preferences/choices of colleges.
  • AICTE will open counseling centers at Jammu / Srinagar for actual admissions in the institutions identified under the scheme.
  • Every candidate will have to be present for the counseling.
  • The student remaining absent will not be eligible for the scholarship in any case.
  • Allotment of seats will be made through counseling only. No change will be allowed after counseling is over under any circumstances.
