About The Program

PRERANA (Post Matric Scholarship Registration Release and Network Automation) Portal is open for all the eligible ST, SC, OBC, SEBC, EBC students, studying at post-matriculation or post-secondary levels who want to apply for Post Matric Scholarship and financial assistance. This scholarship is for students enrolled in national level institutes.

Following are the eligibility criteria that a candidate needs to fulfill:

  • Candidate must be continuing his/her post matriculation studies successfully in any general or technical/professional courses from any govt. or government recognized private institute.
  • The annual family income of ST/ SC students should not be more than INR 2,00,000 per annum.
  • The annual family income of OBC/SEBC candidates should not be more than INR 1,00,000 per annum and they have to secure at least 50% marks in the previous examination.
  • Students should be a permanent resident of Odisha.
  • The annual family income of the parent/guardians from all sources, in case of EBC students, should not exceed INR 1,00,000 per annum and he/she should have to continue his/her higher study in Government institute only
  • This scheme for EBC is applicable only for General Category(other than SC/ST/OBC/SEBC).
How can you apply?

A candidate needs to adopt the following application process –

Step 1- Go to the website.

Step 2- Click on 'Student Registration' option given in 'Student Corner'.

Step 3- Register as new user.

Step 4- Login using the username and password you received after registration. This username is a one-time registration number used to apply for Post-Matric Scholarship throughout student career.

Step 5- Fill the application form and upload photo.

Step 6: Then click on 'Apply for scholarship'.

Step 7: Fill in all the details.

Step 8: Register the scholarship application form.

Step 9: Student can log in and use 'Edit-Lock-Print' to save his/her form.

Step 10: Then, use 'Track-Status' option to know the current status of application form.

Terms and Conditions

Following documents are to be enclosed with the application:

  • Proof of permanent residence
  • Caste Certificate
  • Marksheet of the last examination (Self-certified)
  • Income Certificate
  • Passport sized photo with signature
  • Photocopy of bank passbook (for a/c no. with IFSC Code)
  • Attested photocopy of marksheet of the last examination passed.
