The School of Chemistry & Molecular Biosciences at The University of Queensland invites outstanding students who are citizens of India or of countries in Latin America to apply for a postgraduate coursework scholarship to cover 50% of tuition fees in the Master of Biotechnology, Master of Molecular Biology or Master of Bioinformatics programs. Up to six scholarships will be awarded each year.
In Australia, our graduates enjoy an employment rate higher than the national average. We currently have almost 100 students in our postgraduate biotechnology, molecular biology and bioinformatics programs, including high-achieving students from overseas, some of whom have gone on to postgradutate research in Australia and to successful careers in their home country and around the world.
Postgraduate Coursework Scholarships in Queensland University 2016
DeadlineClosed Eligibility - This scholarship is for students who will be studying at The University of Queensland on a full-time basis and who meet the selection criteria defined on the application form.
- The scholarship is intended for newly commencing students and is not available for students who have already commenced studies at The University of Queensland
- be a citizen of India,
- possess a Grade Point Average of at least 80% in 7 semesters of undergraduate studies or received a minimum of 75% over 8 semesters of study at a higher education institution in India which is ranked section 1 or 2 according to NOOSR (the Australian government, National Office of Overseas Skills Recognition),
- be able to commence as an international student in Australia on a student visa,
- have submitted the application by the closing date. Late applications will not be accepted

Scholarship Details
Scholarship Value: Approximately AUD$ 16,640 per year plus student services and amenities fee, based on an indicative annual tuition fee of AUD$ 33,280. Indicative annual fees are calculated on the basis of two full-time semesters only. Students’ actual annual fees may vary in accordance with their choices of majors and electives and whether they study in Summer Semester. The University reviews fees annually.
Deadline: 31 October 2015 for a Semester 1, 2016 (February) commencement or 31 March 2016 for a Semester 2, 2016 (July) commencement.
