About The Program

The Government of India invites applications from students of class 11 and 12 for Post Matric Scholarships Scheme for Minorities 2017-18. The main aim of this scheme is to provide the opportunities for higher education to weaker sections of minority communities i.e Muslims, Sikhs, Christians, Buddhists, Jains and Zoroastrians/Parsis to enhance their employability rate.

EligibilityDeadline Date : Closed
  • The students of class 11,12, graduate, post graduate, technical or vocational courses, M.Phil or Ph.D
  • The students belong to the minority community (Muslims, Sikhs, Christians, Buddhists, Jains and Zoroastrians/Parsis)
  • The students who have scored at least 50% marks or equivalent in the previous exam
  • The annual income of the family should not exceed INR 2 lac from all the sources
  • The scholarship can be given to maximum of two children of the same family

 

How can you apply?

The application can be done online with the following steps:

Step 1: Click here before applying online

Step 2: Click on "New User? Register"

Step 3: Scroll down to click on "Continue"

Step 4: Fill the details to register

Step 5: An application id and password will be generated on the computer screen and an OTP will be sent to the registered mobile number

Step 6: Enter OTP number and confirm.

Step 7: Now, start filling the form.

Step 8: Click on "Final Submit" to submit the application form.

Note: The concerned State Government/Union Territory Administration will supply the application forms, till such time computerized systems are made operational by the State Governments/Union Territory Administrations. The application forms should be received back along with requisite certificates/certifications within the stipulated period.

  • This scholarship is for completing the course however it is applicable for only 10 months in a year
  • The fee will be transferred directly to the students' bank account
  • About 30% of the scholarship is fixed for girl candidate however it can be subject to change
  • The scholarship is given only for the standard time taken to complete Certificate/Degree/M. Phil Degree/Doctorate Degree

Q. Who is eligible to apply?
A.
The students who belong to minority communities i.e Muslim, Christian, Sikh, Buddhist, Jain, Parsi/Zoroastrian studying in India can apply.

Q. What documents are to be uploaded on Portal while applying for the scholarship (if needed)?
A.
The following documents are to be uploaded:

  • Student Photo. (Mandatory).
  • Institution Verification Form. (Mandatory).
  • Self-declaration of Income Certificate by the student. (Mandatory).
  • Self-declaration of the community by the student. (Mandatory).
  • In case of Fresh: Self Attested Certificate of ‘Previous Academic Mark sheet’ as filled in Form. (Mandatory).
  • In case of Renewal: Self-Attested Certificate of Previous Year Marksheet as filled in the Form. (Mandatory).
  • Fee Receipt of current course year. (Mandatory).
  • Proof of Bank Account in the name of the student. (Mandatory).
  • Aadhaar Card (optional).
  • Residential/Domicile Certificate. (Mandatory).
