The Social Welfare Department, Government of Uttarakhand invites applications for Post Matric Scholarship for SC/ST/OBC students 2017-18 from students of Class 11 to postdoctoral courses. The students residing in Uttarakhand and studying in a recognized University/Institution are eligible to apply for the scholarship.

DeadlineClosed Eligibility To be eligible for the scholarship, an applicant must -
- Be a domicile of Uttarakhand studying within or outside the state at a recognized University/Institution.
- Belong to SC/ST/OBC category.
- Have passed last qualifying examination.
- Have annual family income not more than INR 250000 (for SC/ST candidates) and INR 100000 (for OBC candidates).
- Not be in receipt of any other scholarship in an academic year.
Note: The applicants must not be studying in more than one institute in an academic session.
How can you apply? Eligible candidates can apply for the scholarship through following steps -
Step 1: Visit the National Scholarship Portal.
Step 2: Click on New User/Register.
Step 3: Read the guidelines properly.
Step 4: Continue to register.
Step 5: Once registered, take note of student application ID and continue to apply.
Step 6: The applicants will receive an OTP on their registered mobile number. Confirm the OTP.
Step 7: Change the password.
Step 8: Login here to complete the application process.
Step 9: Upload necessary documents.
Step 10: Finally submit the application form.

- Income certificate of the parents/guardian (should not be older than 6 months).
- Caste certificate
- Domicile certificate
- Mark sheet of High School
- Mark sheet/Certificate of the last examination passed
- Bonafide certificate of institution in which currently studying
- Photocopy of CBS bank account passbook
- Counselling certificate (for OBC students)
Award Details
- The SC and ST candidates will receive a scholarship up to INR 1200 per month (for hosteller) and INR 550 per month (for day scholar).
- The OBC candidates will receive a scholarship of up to INR 750 per month (for hosteller) and INR 350 per month (for day scholar).
