About The Program

University Grants Commission (UGC) invites applications for PG Scholarships for Professional Courses for SC/ST 2017-18 from candidates pursuing a postgraduate course in professional subjects. The objective of the scholarship is to provide financial assistance to SC/ST candidates.

EligibilityDeadline Date: Closed
  • Candidate must have obtained a graduate degree and obtained admission at postgraduate level to study a full-time course in any of the professional subjects.
  • Candidates pursuing correspondence or distance postgraduate courses are not eligible for the scholarship.
  • Male candidates should not be more than 45 years of age and the female candidate should not be more than 50 years of age.
How can you apply?

Eligible candidates can apply for the scholarship through following steps -
Step 1: Visit the National Scholarship Portal. 
Step 2: Click on New User/Register.
Step 3: Read the guidelines properly. 
Step 4: Continue to register. 
Step 5: Once registered, take note of student application ID and continue to apply. 
Step 6: The applicants will receive an OTP on their registered mobile number. Confirm the OTP. 
Step 7: Change the password. 
Step 8: Login here to complete the application process. 
Step 9: Upload necessary documents. 
Step 10: Finally submit the application form.

Terms and Conditions
  • Scholarship of INR 7800 per month will be given to ME/Mtech students.
  • Scholarship of INR 4700 per month will be given to students pursuing other courses.
  • Contingency A of INR 15000 per annum will be given to ME/Mtech students.
  • Contingency A  of INR 10000 per annum will be given to students pursuing other courses
