About The Program
National Women Bioscientists Awards 2018 is scholarship scheme for Indian women scientists in basic and applied research in the areas of biosciences and biotechnology including agricultural, biomedical and environmental sciences with potential for application/product and technology development.
EligibilityDeadline Date: Closed
- Women candidate must be a citizen of India and is engaged in basic and applied research in the areas of biosciences and biotechnology in the country.
- Women candidate must have made a significant and outstanding contribution in the areas of biosciences/biotechnology during last 5 years and the work must have been done entirely in India (For young category).
- For senior category, women citizens of India should have made lifetime significant and outstanding contribution in the areas of biosciences/biotechnology
- For senior category, there is no age limit but for young category age limit is 45 years.
Benefits
Award Details:
- In Senior category, the Award carries a cash prize of Rs 5.00 lakh along with a citation and a gold medal.
- In Young category, the Award carries a cash prize of Rs 1.00 lakh with a citation and a gold medal and Research Grant of Rs 5.00 lakh per annum for a period of 5 years.
