FDDI was set up by the Ministry of Commerce, Government of India in the year 1986 with an objective to provide human resource and technical services to the industry. In just a span of three decades FDDI has evolved from being India’s premier institute to a notable International Training Institute. The programmes are of two to five year duration.

FDDI is offering a wide range of PG, UG, Integrated and short term programmes in the field of Fashion, Design and Retail Management. They have eight fully functional campuses all over India – Noida, Fursatganj, Chennai, Kolkata, Rohtak, Chhindwara, Jodhpur and Guna. Four new campuses of the FDDI are being established at Punjab, Patna, Hyderabad and Gujarat.

          

Sponsorship Criteria
 

Admission under Sponsorship Category for Session 2015 -16

 

Out of the total capacity of any batch, 15% seats are reserved in each programme for Industry-sponsored /NRI/Foreign candidates if they meet the required eligibility criteria. The Candidate will go through the interview process, and the selection will be done on merit basis. Industry sponsored/NRI/Foreign candidate is required to pay twice the normal fee in case of Noida campus and for other campuses 50% extra of Normal fee will be charged.

 

The normal fee consists of- Tuition Fee, Support, Course Work & Infrastructure Charges per Semester. FDDI will not be responsible for Industry Internship & Placement for such candidates.

 

The sponsoring company will make arrangements for the placement of the Candidate. Candidate applying in the sponsored category must submit a sponsorship certificate issued on the company letter head duly signed & stamped by the authorized person as per the below format. In case of non-availability of Industry sponsored/NRI/Foreign candidate, the seats reserved for them will be offered to non-sponsored candidates.

    • PG Programmes –Graduation in any discipline {candidates appearing in final year may also apply}
    • UG Programmes –10+2 / Intermediate {candidates appearing in 10+2 may also apply}
    • Integrated Programme – 10+2 / Intermediate {candidates appearing in 10+2 may also apply}
    • Eligible candidates will have to undergo an All India Selection test (AIST) that consists of Online test (Math, English, Reasoning/General science & GK).
    • Candidates who have attempted CAT/MAT/XAT are eligible for exemption from appearing in the online test of FDDI.
    • Candidates appearing for CAT/MAT/XAT will also have the option to appear for FDDI online test. In that case the best of two exams i.e. CAT/MAT/XAT or FDDI written exam will be considered for the merit of selection.
    • The common merit list of online test will be prepared for candidates appeared in the written test of FDDI and applied under CAT & MAT category. Accordingly, shortlisted candidates will be called for Counseling.
    How can you apply?

    The cost of Prospectus along with Admission Form is Rs. 500/-.

    Prospectus along with the Admission Form can be purchased from:

    1. FDDI Campus at NOIDA, Fursatganj, Chennai, Kolkata, Chhindwara, Rohtak, Jodhpur & Guna.
    2. You can send a Demand Draft of Rs. 500/- (Rupees Five Hundred only) in favour of "FDDI" payable at New Delhi to FDDI, NOIDA and it will be sent through courier. Do not forget to mention your complete address at the back of the DD also.

    Last date for issue and submission of admission form is 15th May 2015.

    Date of Computer based Entrance Examination (AIST 2015): 12th, 13th, & 14th June 2015.

    Examination Centers will be allotted on First-Come-First-Serve basis. Aspiring candidates are advised to fill in the Application Form and submit the same at the address given below at the earliest.

Terms and Conditions
How to Apply
 

Candidate is required to fill the Application Form attached with the prospectus as per the instruction mentioned here in and send the duly filled in form alongwith the requisite documents to FDDI, Noida. Duly Filled application form along with requisite documents should be sent to Admisison Cell, FDDI. The important instructions for filling the form are given below.

  1. A candidate can apply for more than one programme in a single application form. For applying in multiple programmes candidates have to fill the programme code in accordance to their preference of programme as given in the Application Form.

     

     

    1. Applicants of PG programmes can apply for other PG programmes only, in the same form.
    2. Applicants of UG programmes can apply for other UG programmes only, in the same form.
    3. If a candidate wish to apply for both UG & PG programmes he / she has to fill two separate application forms.
  2. Applicant can choose Date of his/her choice from the dates given in the Application form for appearing in AIST. Maximum efforts will be made to accommodate on the given date and centre on first come first serve basis. However due to infrastructure constraints a candidate may sometimes be asked to appear on other dates /centre also.

  3. Candidates applying under the reserved category (SC/ST/OBC/PH/Disabled) must attach an attested copy of documentary proof signed by the competent authority as admissible, along with the duly filled up Application Form.

  4. Candidates applying under exemption for written exam must attach photocopy of their relevant score card or admit card along with the duly filled up Application Form.

  5. Candidates is required to paste one recent passport size coloured photograph in the specified area of the form. The photograph should be pasted properly. A form without the same shall be rejected.

  6. Candidates is required to fill up the personal details given in the Admit Card and sent back along with the duly filled up form. The candidates are also required to send one self-addressed envelope (Size Approx 9.5 X 4.5 inches) along with the Application Form.

  7. The candidates are required to sign properly & carefully (without any overwriting/cut) in the first column provided in the Admit Card indicated as “signature of candidate (at the time of filling up the form)”. In case of mismatching of the signature you will not be allowed to appear for the test.
