About The Program

Begum Hazrat Mahal National Scholarship Scheme for Minorities Girls 2018-19 (Maulana Azad Education Foundation) invites applications from girls belonging to minority communities. The scholarship aims to provide tuition fee assistance along with other benefits to the deserving girl students who are unable to support their education due to financial issues.

EligibilityDeadline Date: Closed
  • Only girl students belonging to Muslim, Christian, Sikh, Buddhist, Jain and Parsi communities are eligible for this scholarship.
  • The annual family income of the student should be less than INR 2 lakh.
  • Girl students studying in class 9 to 12 can apply for the scholarship.
  • A student must have secured minimum 50% marks (in aggregate) in the previous class.
Benefits

The eligible students will get a scholarship to look after their expenditure on admission and course or tuition fee and maintenance allowance:

  • For admission and tuition fee (Class 9 and 10): The maximum ceiling is INR 10,000 which will be released in two installments of INR 5,000 each.
  • For admission and tuition fee (Class 11 and 12): The maximum ceiling is INR 12,000 which will be released in two installments of INR 6,000 each.
Documents
  • Printed application form (completed)
  • Income Certificate of parents/guardian to be issued by the Competent Authority declared by the State Govt./UTs Administration
  • Photograph of student attested by the Principal of present school/college
  • Institution verification form attested by the Principal of present school/college 
  • Self attested certificate of mark sheet of previous class as filled in form
  • Self declaration of minority community certificate by the student
  • Photocopy of the 1st page of bank/postal account passbook in the name of applicant (either single or joint account with her parents)
  • Photocopy of Aadhaar Card of the student

Step 2: To start registration, click on 'Registration' and then, click on 'Apply for Fresh Registration'.
Step 3: Now, read the instruction carefully and click on 'continue'.
Step 4: Fill the application form.
Step 4: Post the printed application form along with necessary documents to the below address:

Selection Criteria

The eligible candidates will be selected on the basis of the lower income of parents or guardians.

  • Submission of more than one application form will result in rejection of the form.
  • Scholarship amount will be directly transferred into the Beneficiary bank account through DBT mode. 
  • Scholarship will not be granted for studies abroad.
