ISBNPA invites applications for LMIC Scholarship Grant 2019 from early (5 years post-PhD) and mid-career (5-15 years post-PhD) researchers in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs). The objective is to provide funding to conduct formative or pilot research, or for an existing study, where funds are insufficient to complete the study such that the results can be disseminated, and to present study findings at an ISBNPA conference.

What can the funding be used for?
Actual research costs(e.g. transport for data collection, fieldworker costs, equipment, materials, and supplies for data collection).
Funding contribution for the time of an early career researcher (Masters or Ph.D. student) to complete a specific research task (e.g. collect data, complete data analysis). This could be used as contributions towards the salary of a postdoctoral fellow(which may be an applicant, or maybe someone other than the applicant), provided that it is for the completion of a specific research task.
What the funding cannot be used for?
Salary contribution for a mid-career or senior researcher
Institutional costs (e.g., university research levies)
