About The Program

Japanese Government Scholarships for Undergraduates 2018-19 invites applications from class 12 pass out students. The scholarship aims to provide fully funded education to deserving candidates in the universities of Japan. 

EligibilityDeadline Date : Closed

An applicant must-

  • Have passed class 12
  • Be willing to pursue a bachelor's degree from a University in Japan in the fields of Social Sciences, Humanities and Natural Science
  • Be born between 02.04.1994 and 01.04.2002
Benefits

A total of three scholarships will be given to students for a duration of 5 years starting from April that includes one year of Japanese language training. The scholarship includes - 

  • Full Tuition Fee Exemption.
  • A stipend of JPY 117,000 per month. 
  • Round-trip airfare will be provided.
How can you apply?

Step 1: Applicant must follow the link to find out their respective Japanese Consulates.
Step 2: Coordinate with respective consulates to begin the application procedure.
Step 3: Applicants residing in other states or union territories can download the application form from here
Step 4: Submit the completed application form along with the required documents to their respective consulates.

Application Deadline: 15th June 2018
Notification of Shortlisted Candidates: 22nd June 2018
Date for Interview/Written Test: 7th July 2018

Selection Criteria

Students will be judged on the basis of their performance in the Written Test/Interview.
