Jagadis Bose National Science Talent Search (JBNSTS), Kolkata is an Autonomous Registered Society under West Bengal Society Registration Act XXI of 1860 (No.S/4353 of 1960-61). This organisation is promoted by the Government of West Bengal and administered by a Governing Body with representatives from the State Government, Academics and Industry. Conceptualized in 1958 by visionaries such as Dr. B C Roy and Sir Jehangir Ghandy, JBNSTS was initiated to commemorate the Birth Centenary Celebration of India’s first modern scientist, Acharya J C Bose. The program was inaugurated by Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru. It enjoys status of a special institution as declared by Department of Higher Education, Government of West Bengal.

DeadlineClosed Eligibility Students who have passed their 10th standard or equivalent examinations in 2015 with minimum 75% marks in aggregate and currently studying in 11th standard in Sciences stream (with at least any 3 subjects from
Phy/Chem/Math/Bio/Stat/Co mp. Sc.) in any school within West Bengal.How can you apply? Downloadable forms are available at www.jbnsts.org or may be obtained by sending self-addressed stamped (Rs. 10.00) envelope to JBNSTS, 1300 Rajdanga Main Road, Kol-107, Ph: 2442-8270/2441-7542. For hard copy application, please clearly mention JTST(as applicable) on the top of the envelope.
Applicant may apply online through the designated link available in our website www.jbnsts.org where a non refundable application fee of Rs. 100/- (for JTST) may be paid through Net Banking/ Credit Card/ Debit Card or may be deposited at any branch of SBI after generating the challan (from internet).

For JTST: Rs. 500/- per month, for two years (during 11th & 12th class) & onetime book grant of Rs. 1000/-
