About The Program
Indian Oil invites applications for the Sports Scholarship Scheme For Upcoming Sports Person for the academic year 2016 -17. This scholarship will be given to 65 students who are young players with a view to encouraging talent and to create a chain of sportspersons. The scholarship will be given in two categories of sports arena: Elite Scholar and Scholar. The students of age group 14 to 19 are eligible to apply.
Scholarship will be given under these sports categories: Cricket, Hockey, Basketball, Volleyball, Football, Kabaddi, Tennis, Billiards & Snooker, Golf, Carrom, Badminton, Chess, Boxing, Gymnastics, Shooting, Swimming, Wrestling, Table Tennis, Athletics.
EligibilityDeadline Date : Closed
Students should not be less than 14 years and should not be more than 19 years as on 30 December 2016. The student must be a member of the team or the individual one. They must be any one of the following:
- Representing country at junior or senior level.
- National ranking between 1-5 in juniors or sub-juniors or semi-finalist/finalist in national championship.
- Representing state team at junior or senior level.
- National ranking between 6-15 in juniors or sub-juniors or semi-finalist/finalist in national championship.
How can you apply?
The application can be done online only with the following steps:
Step 1: Go to the website.
Step 2: Read all the details given there.
Step 3: Scroll down to click on "Click here to apply online"
Step 4: Write your name, father's name and other details there.
Step 5: Click on "Next".
Step 6: Upload any one certificate for proof of date of birth
- Class 10th certificate,
- Certificate from Gram panchayat
- Certificate from Municipal corporation
- Passport.
Certificate size should not be more than 2 MB.
Step 7: Upload your photo in jpg/jpeg format. Size should not be more than 250 KB.
Step 8: Write your postal address and other details.
Step 9: Now, click on submit.
