About The Program

IITM Summer Fellowship Programme 2017 objective is to provide an opportunity to the students of the 3rd year of B.E./B.Tech./B.Sc. (Engg)/Integrated M.E./M.Tech. the programme, 1st year of ME/M.Tech./M.Sc./ M.A/MBA with excellent academic background, highlighting their academic performance and achievement including papers presented at seminars, projects executed, design contests participated, score/rank in Mathematics Olympiad and any other awards or distinctions obtained and get a stipend of Rs 6000 per month for two months, it is designed to enhance awareness and interest in high-quality academic research among young engineering, management, sciences and humanities students through a goal oriented summer mini-project.

  • Students of 3rd year pursuing B.E./B.Tech./B.Sc.(Engg)/Integrated M.E./M.Tech.
  • Students of the 1st year pursuing ME/M.Tech./M.Sc./M.A/MBA.
  • Students who have an excellent academic background in terms of high ranks in university examinations, highlighting their academic performance and achievement including papers presented at seminars, projects executed, design contests participated, score/rank in Mathematics Olympiad and any other awards/distinctions obtained.
  • Students of IIT are not eligible to apply.
How can you apply?

Application can be done online with the following steps:
Step 1: Register and create an account.
Step 2: Edit basic profile and fill basic information HSC/UG/PG or additional exam.
Step 3: View your application. Now you can check your data is correct, stage by stage (basic, department and file upload information you can view on this page).
Step 4: Apply to the department and selecting a department with three option and project proposal.
Step 5: Upload your files and you can upload files available with you by selecting an appropriate check box.
Step 6: Submit your application. This menu will be activated only all above steps are completed.
Step 7: This menu will create PDF format application for you and us. If not completed up to this stage your application is not valid.
