About The Program

Institute for Cross-Disciplinary Physics and Complex Systems is inviting applications for the IFISC (CSIC-UIB) Scholarships Mobility Grants for international students. The grants are aimed to those students who wish to pursue the Master in Physics of Complex Systems at the University of the Balearic Islands and study in Spain during the academic course 2017-2018.

General eligibility criteria:

  • Students who wish to pursue the Master in Physics of Complex Systems at the University of the Balearic Islands during the academic course 2017-2018 are eligible to apply for the IFISC (CSIC-UIB) Scholarships.
  • The granting of this aid will not establish any contractual or statutory relationship between the University of the Balearic Islands or CSIC and the beneficiary.
  • The Selection Committee will consist of the following IFISC members: the director of the Master in Physics of Complex Systems, acting as chairman, and two faculty appointed by the board of studies, as well as a representative of the Centre for Postgraduate Studies.
How can you apply?

Step 1- To apply for an IFISC mobility fellowship, please fill in the following form.

Step 2- Upload a copy of your personal academic certification.

Step 3- Upload your curriculum vitae and a brief statment of interest.

Step 4- Upload a copy of your ID Card/Passport.

Step 5- Upload a list of professionals to whom the Selection Committee may, if necessary, request letters of recommendation.

 Step 6- To be considered for the scholarships, additionally, the applicant must have pre-enrolled to the master using the application form at www.uib.eu/study/master.

Selection of candidates
The Selection Committee will evaluate applications on the basis of the documentation presented, with emphasis on the academic record, the curriculum vitae and the need for a mobility aid.

OBLIGATIONS OF THE BENEFICIARY

  • The beneficiaries must accept in writing (using the Annex document) the rules and conditions of the grants, within seven calendar days of notice. The resolution will be published in the webpage and sent to the email address indicated on the application.
  • In case of resignation or any substantial change affecting the conditions of the application, the beneficiaries must communicate in writing to the Centre for Graduate Studies.

Cancellation or withdrawal
The scholarship will be invalidated if:

  • There is voluntary withdrawal or dropout from the studies.
  • the beneficiary is not showing up at the center at most a week after the beginning of classes.
  • There is an irregularity in the data provided in the request.

The cancellation will imply the loss of all rights attached to the scholarship.

Decision 
The decision taken by the Selection Committee will be communicated to the applicants to the email address listed in their applications. A first decision will be announced before July 3, 2017 and will consider those applications received before June 30, 2017. Should some fellowships not be awarded then, a second decision will be announced before September 7, 2017 and will consider all applications recevived before September 4, 2017 .
