About The Program

The Government of India invites applications for Centrally Sponsored Scheme from students of Class 9 and 10 for the year 2017-18. The main objective is to reduce the dropout rate of SC students at secondary level.

 

EligibilityDeadline Date : Closed

To be eligible for the scholarship, an applicant must -

  • Be studying in govt. recognised institute.
  • Belong to SC caste
  • Belong to the family where income is less than INR 2.00 lakhs per year.

Note:

  • If the student fails he will not get the scholarship for the year or subsequent year
  • Girl candidates can avail only one scheme - either the Savitribai Phule Scholarship or the said scheme
  • For renewal of the scholarship, the students need to complete the class and get admission in next academic year.

How can you apply?

Eligible candidates can apply for the scholarship online through following steps -

Step 1: Click here to register as a new user (Note: Candidate should have a mobile number registered with their Aadhaar card to ensure seamless and fast application process.)
Step 2: Complete the Aadhaar authentication process either through OTP or biometric. 
Step 3: The candidates will receive an OTP on their registered mobile number if they opt for OTP authentication.
Step 4: Complete the registration process by filling in all required details. 
Step 5: Log in using username or password. 
Step 6: Complete the application process for the scholarship.

Award Details:

  • For Hosteller student: INR 350 p.m for 10 months and adhoc of INR 1000 p.a
  • For Day scholar student: INR 150 p.m for 10 months and adhoc of INR 750 p.a
  • For Physically Challenged Student: INRs 160 p.m
  • For Mentally Challenged Students: INR 240 p.m
