Google (01000111 01101111 01101111 01100111 01101100 01100101) presents the 2014 edition of Code to Learn contest.  We welcome students from classes 5 to 10 to show off their programming skills
 

  • Think of a story, a game, a music show, a cartoon or a completely different project - ‘Your creativity is the limit’.
     
  • Create it using Scratch - a fun programming language created by the MIT Media Lab.
     
  • Students from classes 7 to 10 can also use MIT App Inventor, Javascript or Python to create their project. 
     
  • You have up to 05-September-2014 to create your project.
     
  • Submit it on this website.
     
  • Win cool prizes.

    Scratch can be run right inside your web browser. 
    • Click  to begin using Scratch.
    • Get introduced to Scratch .
    • Explore what Scratch can do with Scratch tours and Scratch projects.
     
    Classes 7 to 10 
     
    Apart from Scratch you can also use the following programming languages/environments:
     
    MIT App Inventor is a tool to create Apps for Android phones. It can be run right inside your browser. Click to get started with App Inventor.
     
    Javascript is used to make very powerful and interactive web pages. Click  to learn Javascript from Khan Academy.
     
    Python is a widely used general-purpose programming language. Click to download and install Python. Click to search the Internet for tutorials on Python.
    How can you apply?
    Project submissions are now open. Please follow the instructions given below depending on which type of project needs to be submitted.
     
     
    For Scratch Projects 
     
    Projects can be shared from the Scratch website itself.
    • Remember to create an account on the Scratch website. Go to http://scratch.mit.edu and click on "Join Scratch" in the top-right corner.
    • Once you create your project, it will be visible under "My Stuff" on the Scratch website. The direct link is http://scratch.mit.edu/mystuff.
    • Click on "Share" next to the project you want to submit for the contest.<

This scholarship is closed for further applications. It is expected to be launched by February, 2024. You can follow this scholarship for further updates.
