About The Program
G.P. Birla Education Foundation Scholarship 2018 invites applications from meritorious of students of West Bengal, who have passed their class 12 examination in the year 2018. The scholarship aims at promoting education, developing human resources and empowering the youth of the country.

An applicant must -
- Be a domicile of West Bengal
- Have passed class 12 in 2018
- Have scored 80% marks or more in class 12 from state board or 85% or more from the central board
- Be continuing studies in any stream including Humanities, Science, Medicine, Engineering, Architecture, Law, Commerce, Company Secretaryship, Cost Accountancy and Chartered Accountancy course from a recognized Indian University/Institution.
Benefits
A total of 100 students will receive the scholarship every year under this program that includes -
- Scholarship up to INR 50,000 per annum covering the tuition fees and hostel fees (where applicable).
- A one-time payment of INR 7,000 towards the purchase of books in the first year of the course.
Documents
- Completed application form attested by the Head of the Institution
- Admission proof (if admission has been taken at a university or college)
- Copy of academic certificates and grade reports for the last examination
- Copy of other certificates for extracurricular achievements
- Copy of Salary Certificate or Form 16 (in case the father or mother is employed), OR
- Copy of Income Tax Return or Certificate from Tehsildar or Councillors (in other cases)

- The scholarship is tenable up to the completion of the course (up to 4 years maximum) subject to the satisfactory performance of the students in the preceding year.
- All the applications must be forwarded through the Head of the Institution from where the student has completed his/her class 12 or where he has taken admission.
