Participants should submit their project proposals related to the following areas/topics:
- Computer Science and IT
- Mobile Communications
- Renewable Energy Systems
- Rural technologies
- Healthcare technologies
- Labour-saving technologies for Women
- Environment and Ecology
- Mobile Applications
Selection Process
The selection will be made in two stages by FAER -
Stage 1: On receipt of project proposals from students, FAER will screen them with the help of experts and select ideal projects for funding. An amount of INR 5000 will be reimbursed to each selected project team after its completion.
Stage 2: The final selection of FAER - McAfee Scholars will be based on the evaluation of the completed projects through Seminar-cum-Exhibition. The best projects will be awarded certificates and cash prizes at FAER-McAfee Scholar Awards Presentation Function.
Awards Details
The top three winners will receive the following prize amount -
- First prize winner will receive INR 1,00,000 (including INR 80,000 for Students Team and INR 20,000 for Project Guide)
- Second prize winner will receive INR 75,000 (including INR 60,000 for Students Team and INR 15,000 for Project Guide)
- Third prize winner will receive INR 50,000 (including INR 40,000 for Students Team and INR 10,000 for Project Guide)
Other details
- The project batch/team can have a maximum of up to 4 students.
- The teams are required to submit a letter from Principal of their institution stating that they are bonafide students of the institution studying in the final year of a degree program.
- The project proposals should be duly signed by the Principal and Project Advisor.
- The team should provide an undertaking stating that if selected, they will provide take up the project and complete it within the time limit of 3 months.
- A team can send only one project proposal.
