About The Program

CIT Risam PhD Scholarship 2017 invites scholarship applications for those students who have got an offer of admission from Cork Institute of Technology. The purpose of the scholarship is to promote research done by new generation and application of new knowledge. The scholarship based on competition that is aligned with CIT’s Research Prioritisation areas. The applicants must not be receiving any scholarship from any other source. All equipment or other property purchased using Rísam Scholarship funds is the property of CIT. A number of full scholarships are being awarded in 2017 for a period of up to three years, subject to satisfactory progress assessed through successful completion of the annual assessment report. The scholarship includes maintenance cost of €12000, fee €4,455 and travel and other minor expenses up to €2000 subject to budget availability. Scholars will be required to undertake teaching of up to 3 hours per week during term. No remuneration will apply to these hours.

  • Applicants must register as a full-time postgraduate research student of CIT.
  • Students must be registered on the CIT doctoral register.
